- PhD holder in computer science or any related field.
- Proven teaching experience at the university level, with a strong ability to communicate complex concepts in a clear and engaging manner.
- Demonstrated research expertise in Computer Science (Al, or a related area), with a strong publication record in high-impact journals and conferences.
- Experience with course development and curriculum design, particularly in online and blended learning environments.
- Strong industry connections and the ability to integrate practical, realworld insights into teaching and research activities.
Preferred Qualification (Advantage):
- Experience in supervising Masters students and above as well as leading research teams.
- Proven success in securing research funding from government, industry, or international bodies.
- Knowledge of current and emerging trends in Al, such as machine learning, data privacy, ethical Al, quantum computing and cloud security.
- Active involvement in professional organizations and conferences related to AL
- Strong interdisciplinary skills and the ability to collaborate across departments and faculties.
Job Description:
1) Teaching and Curriculum Development:
- Deliver engaging and innovative lectures, seminars, and workshops to postgraduate students.
- Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and assessments in line with departmental and institutional standards.
- Utilize diverse teaching methodologies to cater to a variety of learning styles.
- Integrate current research and industry practices into teaching materials.
- To prepare test/ examination questions together with appropriate marking schemes in a timely manner for programs with coursework component.
- To prepare/ update portfolio/course file for every course taught.
2) Supervision and Mentoring:
- Provide academic supervision and guidance to postgraduate students, including overseeing research projects, theses, and dissertations.
- Offer mentorship and support to help students achieve their academic and professional goals.
- Ensure timely and constructive feedback on students' work.
3) Research and Scholarly Activity:
- Conduct original research in your area of expertise, aiming for publication in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals.
- Pursue funding opportunities to support research initiatives.
- Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary research projects. iv. Present research findings at national and international conferences.
4) Administrative Duties:
- Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and working groups as required.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
5) Professional Development and Industry Engagement:
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with advancements in your field.
- Participate in relevant training programs and workshops.
- Foster relationships with industry partners to enhance the relevance and impact of postgraduate programs.
