Job brief: Mechanical Engineer
We are looking for an accountable Project Mechanical Engineer to be responsible for all engineering and technical disciplines that projects involve. High knowledge on engineering and design of Clean Rooms and its components. You will schedule, plan, forecast, resource and manage all the technical activities aiming at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion.
Responsibilities
- Mainly involving in the utility matrix for mechanical (Water, Drain, HVAC, PCHW, CDA, Exhaust & Gasses) during the development of details specification with designer & IE/ manufacturing/ facilities team.
- Manage and coordinate projects with consultant and contractors to ensure timeline completion within budget while achieving the required quality standard.
- Completing blueprint designs using CAD software and making appropriate adjustments once the end user and other engineers have seen them.
- Maintain as-built drawings
- Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects
- Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications
- Interact daily with the manufacturing people to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field (Services request).
- Report regularly on project status
- Assign responsibilities and mentor project team
- Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support
- Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions
- Manage and guide contractors to maintain and sustain new infrastructures at the project site
Requirements and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in (Mechanical Engineering) or relevant discipline / industry with minimum of 7 years’ experience working within a similar position preferable in semiconductor industry
- Excellent knowledge of design and visualizations software such as AutoCAD
- Advanced MS Office skills
- Knowledge in operation and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment.
- Knowledge and experience of Mechanical Safety Rules and procedures & standards
- Knowledge of Mechanical Designs i.e. pump, HVAC system, piping size and functional testing
- Knowledge of reliability testing and analysis and asset management.
- Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards
- Ability to work with multiple discipline projects
- Project management and supervision skills
- Decision making ability and leadership skills
- Time management and organization skills
- The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
