As a successful role holder, the person carries out transaction processing activities within a specified process area to meet the needs of both internal and external customers in accordance with agreed service levels and in compliance with internal controls and procedures.

This role reports directly to Master Data Team Lead. Master Data Management Team is responsible for the maintenance of SAP master data for AstraZeneca globally. We work internationally through teams in Cluj, Guatemala, Kuala Lumpur, Lublin, New Delhi and Warsaw. We manage approximately 20 different dictionaries, for 170 AstraZeneca subsidiaries in 5 SAP instances. Each month we manage around 100 000 transactions on data of vendors, customers, credit limits, cost elements and alike.

Main Responsibilities

  • Deliver professional and consistent service to customers. Support in resolving Local Country inquiries for DMT function.
  • Perform various tasks related to, and established for, handling master data processing within well-defined guidelines, including resolving basic queries and investigations in a timely manner in DMT.
  • Carry out all master data requests accurately and within specified timescales. Where necessary, analyze the work items, identify and resolve issues with supervision.
  • Support the development/changes in systems, transactions and processes. This includes preparing and updating process documentation.
  • Support in process improvement and productivity initiatives. These include updating and reviewing DMT process documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with internal customers and stakeholders.
  • Support team lead and team members in activities to enhance the effectiveness of the team. This includes helping new joiners to successfully settle into their new role in their stream.
  • Ensure compliance to key controls as identified in the FCF/SOX documentation.
  • Generate and compile KPI metrics related to DMT function at month end and as/when required.
  • Support Senior Analyst or Team Lead when there are any ad hoc activities or project.

Essential Requirements

  • You have a Degree in Business or any related field.
  • 1-2 years working experience in Account Payables/ Account Receivables or solid understanding of master data is an added advantage.
  • Sound accounting fundamentals and data analysis knowledge.
  • Proficient in the use of SAP and MDG system. Understanding SAP dictionaries especially: Vendors, Customers and Bank branches will be an added advantage.
  • Good communication skill and able to communicate effectively in English.
  • Where required, proficiency in a Japanese will be an added advantage.
