What does the role entail?

The duties of a Senior Compliance & Contractor Services Specialist include preparing contracts, negotiating terms, reviewing existing contracts, amending contracts, explaining terms to stakeholders, ensuring compliance, analyzing risks, and maintaining contract and database records.

Contract Administration

  • Drafting employment contracts between parties
  • Establishing contract terms and conditions including service levels, fees and financial obligation
  • Issuing all contract addendums and terminations within best practice parameters.
  • Monitoring and advising on compliance with contractual obligations and risks, including revisions to existing contracts
  • Liaise between Finance Team and Consultants about all contract and placement queries.
  • Perm TOB generation and addendums

Quality Control & Compliance

  • Responsible for APAC QC process ensuring all placements and billing details have been approved in writing by the client & are correctly inputted onto Bullhorn
  • Ensure contractor engagements are structured in a compliant way utilising appropriate direct or third-party payroll support
  • Offer support to clients, internal consultants and contractors on compliance queries related to their contracting set up & working requirements within working region
  • Provide support on insurance queries for local policies
  • Ensure immigration requirements and right to work reviews are conducted in a compliant manner, setting requirements for team to follow
  • Manage any contractor issues or escalation such as terminations for cause
  • Ensuring that data and information in the database aligns with the contracts
  • Maintaining all internal files and ensuring the filing system is organized and easily accessible
  • Regular Bullhorn or excel reporting
  • Maintain organized system of digital records
  • Understanding of local employment legislation where we have direct employees/contractors working, and how this impacts Spencer Ogden, our contractors and our clients
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and mitigate contractual risks
  • Monitor and track contract performance, ensuring timely renewal or termination
  • Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations

HSE

  • Review high risk working locations to ensure full security and HSE requirements have been met and continually monitor location for the duration of assignments.
  • Manage any HSE incidents in collaboration with clients and contractors.
  • Ensure all HSE reporting is maintained up to date.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in law, business administration, or a related field
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical abilities
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to work with varying seniority levels, including staff, managers and external partners
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Motivated to learn with lots of energy and drive
