Solution Architect

This position reports to: Solution Architecture & Integration Lead

Job Overview:

• Solution Architect for Business Support System (BSS) Programme within the Consumer business segment that is currently undergoing business and IT transformation
• Drive solution architecture & support to create the overall technical vision for a specific solution to a business problem
• Identify the best-in-class tech solution including the provisioning of specifications for which the solution is defined, managed and delivered to solve existing business problems.

Work Life:

• Support in defining the solution architecture to drive the organisation's future-state business capabilities
• Assess as-is system architectures and identify software solutions that are high quality, secured & scalable for the business
• Review individual system and application designs for architectural conformance and overall software quality i.e. reliability, scalability, extensibility etc.
• Develop impact analysis of functional and non-functional requirements and constraints on the business roadmap in the current business and technology environment including the regulatory impacts and risks
• Define and maintain the one technology architectural artifact i.e. building blocks, models, governance, architecture and unified roadmaps
• Identify architecture optimisation where possible and conduct various forms of design reviews and walkthrough to obtain buy-ins from stakeholders
• Implement and deliver solution architecture for specific business applications or technologies

Requirements:

• At least 7 years of working experience in solution architecture & integration
• Prior experience in implementing transformation initiatives and large-scale IT program delivery is an added advantage
• Knowledge and experience in IT application architecture, design and development
• Understanding of the IT solution discipline, processes and concepts
• Technical aptitude, knowledge and experience across application, information, technology, and process domains
• Having relevant certification e.g. TOGAF, ITIL will have added advantage
