Job Overview: As a Line Cook at Red Retro Bistro, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items in accordance with the restaurant's standards. Food Preparation: * Prepare ingredients and food items according to Red Retro Bistro's recipes, portion sizes, and cooking techniques. * Work on assigned kitchen stations (grill, fry, sauté, prep, etc.) and efficiently handle specific food categories. * Ensure that all meals are cooked and plated in accordance with the bistro's presentation standards. 2. Cooking: * Cook and assemble dishes with precision, adhering to standard cooking times and ensuring that food is served hot and fresh. * Adjust cooking methods and techniques to meet dietary requirements and customer preferences (allergies, special requests, etc.). * Monitor food quality and taste before serving to ensure dishes are prepared according to the restaurant's standards. 3. Kitchen Maintenance & Cleanliness: * Maintain cleanliness and organization of your station, keeping it stocked with ingredients and tools for seamless workflow. * Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines, ensuring that work areas, utensils, and cooking surfaces are clean and sanitized at all times. * Assist with the cleaning and proper storage of kitchen equipment and supplies after each shift. 4. Team Collaboration: * Work collaboratively with the person incharge and other kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations. * Communicate effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure orders are prepared on time and in the correct sequence. * Support your team during high-volume service periods, such as during events or peak dining hours.
