Technician (Mechanical/ Mechatronics)

Job Responsibilities 1) Will be responsible for directly maintaining the up-time condition of the production equipment to optimize machine utilization 2) will perform breakdown maintenance operations in order to minimize disruption to the production process 3) Will install, troubleshoot, repair and upgrade electronic, computer controlled and mechanical systems and equipment. 4) Will coordinate with the Engineering Department in the planning and formulating of machine optimization, maintenance technique improvement and other changes which will lead to better machine maintainability, increased yield, productivity and quality. 5) Will align, fit and assemble component parts using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, templates and microscopes. 6) Will help develop maintenance procedures/instructions and ensure their implementation. Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment. 7) Will perform periodic repairs and upgrading of machinery and equipment to ensure consistency with quality parameters. 8) Will collect and analyze maintenance records, in order to eliminate the risks of production interruption and to gain cost efficiency. 9) Will bring forth suggestions about the presence of spare equipment / spare parts. 10) Will perform mechanical or electrical installation jobs. Support installations, analysis and acceptance of new electro-mechanical equipment. 11) Will support and suggest Maintenance KPI’s and other QMS procedures relating to the role of a Mechanical/ Mechatronics Technician. 12) Will support quality initiatives designed to attain ISO-9001 certification Job Requirements 1. Certificate or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/ Mechatronics) 2. Experience in handling of winding equipment, basic PLC knowledge, technical machining skills is an advantage. 3. Able to perform Overtime (OT) when required 4. Able to work independently with less supervision
