About the Role
Responsible in leading the major claims team in processing claims within set guidelines and ensuring the team receives adequate development to achieve set targets.AIA is currently seeking a Major Claims Assistant Manager experienced in assessing Critical Illnesses, Permanent Disabilities & Death Claims to lead our in-house Claims Assessors.
Key responsibilities of the role are as such:-
Claims Processing
Ensure team process major claims to meet department requirements and benchmarks for Turnaround Time, Quality and Productivity, in line with key performance index goals
Review and approve cases that exceeds subordinates’ authority within the required benchmarks
Keep track of the team's work queue to ensure work is distributed accordingly
Handle enquiries and complaints within the stipulated benchmarks
Team Development
Coach and train claims assessors at all levels and provide training to develop team proficiency
Ensure claims assessors are receiving adequate development based on individual needs
Work collectively with other leaders to improve knowledge gaps and cross-skilling of claims assessors
Reporting
Review Claims Payment listing to ensure all checking controls met
Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports for Business Partner and Management
Provide data trend analysis or statistics when required
Others
Lead a role in identifying and implementing process/system improvements
Ensure Standard Operating Procedures and processes are updated from time to time
Review and update Error/Productivity Log for department monitoring
Other assignment(s) allocated as and when needed
