Job Description

  • Provide leadership and develop the Group's legal and compliance functions
  • Subject matter expert and domain expertise in advising senior management on a broad range of legal and compliance matters
  • To provide legal counsel and business partnering support in legal, contractual, litigation/settlement, commercial law, statutory or regulatory requirements
  • Proactively identify, manage and report legal and compliance risks
  • Champion training and awareness programmes to business, operations and other support functions
  • Keeping abreast and updating the senior management on any new laws and regulations applicable to the Group, initiate necessary change and impact to business operations.
  • Training the team and upskilling them to perform their roles and responsibilities as legal counsels and advisers
  • Legal and compliance research
  • Drafting, reviewing, negotiating and post-monitoring of arrangements, contracts, legal documents and etc.
  • Liaise and effectively outsource / engage external parties and lawyers on legal matters.


The Successful Applicant

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in legal field (with solid number of years in team management and leadership)
  • Well versed in both legal and compliance
  • Good analytical skills and sound legal judgement to support business needs.
  • Excellent business judgement, agility and ability to employ strategic thinking.
  • Strong in drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial documents.
  • Exemplary integrity, ethics and demonstrated track record as a role model in legal and compliance in an organisation
