Kitchen Commis

Job Overview:
We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic individual to join our culinary team as a Kitchen Commis. The Kitchen Commis will work closely with our chefs and other kitchen staff to assist in the preparation of high-quality dishes. This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about food and eager to learn and grow in a professional kitchen environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and cooking of various dishes according to recipes and standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
• Handle and store food items properly, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
• Assist in receiving and storing deliveries of food and kitchen supplies.
• Follow instructions and guidelines provided by the chefs and senior kitchen staff.
• Adhere to all sanitation and safety procedures in the kitchen.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient and smooth kitchen operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Chef or Sous Chef.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not required. We welcome candidates with a passion for food and a desire to learn.
• Basic understanding of kitchen procedures and techniques.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• A positive attitude and willingness to take on new challenges.

Pay: RM2,200.00 - RM3,500.00 per month

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
