The Purchasing Engineer will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring both mechanical and electronic components required for production processes. This role entails evaluating suppliers, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring that all procured materials meet quality standards and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and procure mechanical and electronic components, including materials, PCBs, and equipment for production.
  • Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance; negotiate favorable terms and conditions.
  • Collaborate with material management, engineering, and production teams to ensure purchased materials meet technical specifications.
  • Monitor supplier performance, addressing any issues related to quality, delivery, or cost-effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Analyze procurement data and market trends to make informed purchasing decisions and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing and supplier data in SAP.
  • Manage inventory levels to ensure sufficient supply while minimizing excess stock and obsolescence.
  • Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely receipt and proper storage of materials.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and emerging technologies in both mechanical and electronic components.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electronic Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management in mechanical and/or electronics industries.
  • Proficiency in SAP and procurement software.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electronic components, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
