RESPONSIBILITIES/TASK/DUTIES

  • Prepare FULL SET of statutory financial accounts of the Company in accordance with general acceptable accounting practices, guidelines, policies, accounting standards and MFRS statutory requirements.
  • Prepare Company management reports, including the notes to the financial statements, key financial indicators, variance analysis and other corporate reports to provide accurate key financial, statistical information and management information for decision makings.
  • Responsible for budgetary controls, review forecast and projections included maintaining and monitoring budget template and to ensure all department submitted their OPEX control file every month.
  • Review and to ensure month-end closing activities including journal entries, general ledger and subledger maintenance, fixed asset register, inter-co reconciliations, balance sheet review and overhead cost allocations are done accordance to Financial reporting standard and within the stipulated timeline with excellence accuracy without any potential of major adjustment.
  • Involve, review and ensure that end to end process of the Fixed Assets management are maintain accurately in compliance with Accounting standards and company policy.
  • Manage the day to day financial and accounting operations, including all payables, receivables function and credit control.
  • Monitor stock take and monthly inventory audit made by the executive and to review the inventory stock count report. Ensure the process are accordance to SOP and governance and all relevant party signing on the stock count report.
  • Ensure and monitor Work in Progress (WIP) reconciliation and follow up with the Project Manager.
  • Review vendor and customer master data creation/ update/ deletion when required.
  • Troubleshoot and solving issues with month end closing and reporting.
  • Subject matter expert on GL processes with deep understanding on how the accounting is implemented and automated, together with all interdependencies with sub-ledgers.
  • Prepare the monthly schedules for HOD Finance BU review.
  • Review the monthly reconciliations and schedules prepared by Finance Executives.
  • Review and ensure all intercompany transaction are recorded on timely manner.
  • Prepare variance analysis for Rolling P&L & BS (by Business unit and by company) for HOD finance BU review.
  • Monitor petty cash disbursement is always sufficient and accurate and reviewing cash count and petty cash report.
  • Review bank reconciliation and monitor daily bank balances prepared by Finance Executives.
  • Oversee and monitor the integrity, effectiveness and efficiency and internal control of the finance and related functions.
  • Recommend and implement improvement in accounting procedures and internal control.
  • Responsible for Company audit matters which involve in liaising with external auditors and regulatory authorities.
  • Supervise and provide support to finance team members to ensure the smooth running of daily accounting operations, meet statutory and management deadlines.
  • Undertake any ad-hoc assignments by management or reporting head as and when required.
  • Liaise with auditors and tax agents, continuous communication for effective statutory and regulatory reporting.
  • Establish good working relationship with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ensure and verify the financial data on accuracy and compliance to accounting policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance to local statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist HOD Finance to supervising and providing support to subordinate.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Management or CEO.
  • QUALIFICATIONS

  • Candidate must possess at least a Degree/ Advanced Diploma/Skill Certificate Level five (5) or Diploma /Skill certificate Level four (4) in Finance, Accountancy, Banking or a Professional Qualification (Preferable a member of Malaysian Institute of Accountants-MIA).
  • At least five (5) years of working experience in the related field.

  • Proficient standard of Bahasa Malaysiaand English (written dan verbal communication).
  • Ability to manage and understand SAP accounting, general and cost accounting, budgeting, treasury, taxation, full set of accounts, management reporting.
  • Ability to negotiate with suppliers, partners, and stakeholders to achieve financial objectives.
  • Ability to deliver under pressure while maintaining full integrity of actions and high quality of output.
  • Ability to be dynamic leader, pro-active team player and self-motivated.

  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Advanced capability) and financial system.
  • Willing to be based at HQ or Business Unit – i-SHARP (Terengganu) or i-KERPAN (Kedah).
