Piping Designer

To perform this role successfully, the individual will be responsible for the preparation of Piping 3D Model, Piping drawings and technical documentation as required for the execution of Industrial projects including (Petrochemical, Pharmaceutical, Semiconductor, Mission Critical projects – Data Centre) from concept design, FEED design and detailed design.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage and perform various aspects of piping design including piping arrangement drawing, Isometric drawing, piping list, BOM preparation, piping support drawing, piping insulation standard etc.
• Coordinate and communicate technical issues among various groups including companys’ International engineering centers.
• Understanding engineering piping standard, specification and international industry piping engineering code and local code.
• Support project proposal estimation and project execution.
• Able to establish piping design plan and schedule of own scope, report design status and issues, ensure the schedule be met with good quality deliverables.
• Proactive in identifying, escalating and problem solving on significant design issues.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline
• 5 years’ and above piping design experience preferably in Industrial projects.
• Experienced in EPCM work environment.
• Good hand-on skill with 3D Modeling tools such as Revit, E3D, SP3D or other Piping 3D Model tool, etc.
• Able to understand P&IDs
• AutoCAD and Aveva E3D and/or SP3D experience is a must.
• Familiar with Malaysia’s Code and local legislative regulations / International codes regulations such as ASME, API, ANSI, ASTM, BS, DIN, JIS, MS, etc
• Added value in having past work experience in the multicultural team and hybrid environment.
