JOB REQUIREMENT
• Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Fresh graduates are highly encouraged to apply.
• Proven experience in designing steel joints, including bolted and welded connections, for bridges or buildings.
• Proficiency in 2D and 3D drawing software (e.g., AutoCAD).
• Familiarity with international design codes (Eurocodes, AASHTO, ASCE, British codes) is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client liaison and teamwork.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

JOB SCOPE
1. Steel Joint Design
• Assist in developing and analyzing designs for steel joints, including bolted and welded connections.
• Ensure designs meet structural requirements, safety standards, and project specifications.
2. Bearing Systems Design
• Contribute to the design and analysis of bearing systems such as laminated rubber bearings, pot bearings, and restraint bearings.
• Gain hands-on experience in accommodating structural movements and loads.
• Utilize ETABS for structural analysis, and interpret ETABS results to enhance design solutions
3. Client Liaison
• Work with clients to understand their needs and help provide solutions for joint designs and bearing systems.
• Develop your communication skills by discussing design options and recommendations.
4. Drawing and Documentation
• Create 2D and 3D drawings for components and assemblies using software tools (AutoCAD, Inventor).
• Prepare comprehensive design documentation, including calculations and reports.
5. Compliance and Standards
• Apply international design codes and standards (e.g., Eurocodes, AASHTO, ASCE, British codes) to ensure designs are up-to-date.
• Stay current with industry practices and trends.
