Requirements:
- Possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance and a Professional Qualification (ACCA/CIMA/CPA/MIA) or equivalent.
- Preferably with 3 to 5 years of accounting experience in Audit Firm, Commercial industry, or a similar capacity in a related field.
- Membership in the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
- Knowledge of costing and budgetary control monitoring.
- Ability to work independently, with attention to detail, strong organizational, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial statements in compliance with MFRS, IFRS, and the Companies Act of Malaysia, ensuring adherence to all relevant accounting standards and policies
- Prepare tax computations in accordance with the requirements of the Malaysian Income Tax Act.
- Maintain a strong understanding of both direct and indirect tax regulations within the Malaysian framework
- Manage the accounts department, ensuring timely monthly closing of management accounts and overseeing reporting processes
- Develop budgets and financial forecasts for management review
- Monitor operational costs closely and provide insight to support effective decision-making
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, statutory regulations, and internal controls
- Perform any additional tasks or special projects as assigned from time to time
