JOB DESCRIPTION
Production Planning and Execution:
- Oversee daily food production operations, ensuring that all food items are produced on time and meet quality standards.
- Develop and implement efficient production schedules and workflows.
- Monitoring of the Company's overall sales, coordinate with purchasing, production and inventory teams to ensure the availability of raw materials.
Quality Control:
- Monitor food safety and hygiene standards, ensuring compliance with health regulations (e.g., HACCP, HALAL or other relevant standards).
- Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure consistent food quality (e.g. practice of first in, first out, incoming goods inspection, temperature control etc).
Cost Management and Efficiency:
- Manage production budgets, control waste, and minimize production costs while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Analyze production data to identify areas for process improvement and cost reduction.
Team Management:
- Supervise production staff, ensuring they follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.
- Train, mentor, and manage the performance of production team members.
Inventory Management:
- Ensure proper stock levels of raw materials and packaging, coordinating with the procurement department for timely replenishment.
- Track and manage food waste, optimizing production processes to minimize loss.
Health and Safety Compliance:
- Ensure that all production activities comply with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment for all staff (e.g., Good Hygiene Practices, Occupational Safety and Health Administration or other relevant standards).
- Conduct regular safety and quality checks, audits, and equipment maintenance. Liaise with external service providers for specialized repairs, servicing, or replacements of kitchen equipment.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
· Minimum Diploma in Food & Beverage or equivalent
· At least 2-4 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position
· Able to work with foreign production operators
· Proficiency in 3 languages - English, Malay, and Mandarin will be an added advantage
· Computer skills in Microsoft Words, Excel and PowerPoint are required
· Strong knowledge in food safety quality system, experience in manufacturing and food process, familiar with production system and procedure
· Interest and passionate in culinary, keen to be involved in the research and development of new recipe is an added advantage
WORKING HOURS
· 5 and a half day (Saturdays are half day)
· 7am – 4pm
