Key responsibilities:
- Provide technical expertise during all phases of development, from concept to construction.
- Review and interpret engineering designs, plans, and specifications to guide construction activities.
- Check the drawing for compliance with design requirements and site conditions.
- Prepare engineering plans, reports, and specifications in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Oversee the selection and requisition of materials to ensure all materials used are as per specifications.
- Plan and review the project schedule, material delivery and control the material waste to ensure the projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure projects meet design specifications, safety standards, and quality guidelines.
- Lead a team of site personnel and workers in the planning and execution of day-to-day operations.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
- Assist with calculating the quantity of each item in BQ according to drawings.
- Resolve any unexpected technical issues, difficulties and other problems that may arise.
- Maintain project documentation, including contracts, permits, and reports.
- Assist in project progress claims and submission of work progress reports and other related documentation for project claim purposes.
- Undertake any relevant responsibility that may be assigned by the management from time to time.
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- With at least 2 years of relevant working experience.
- Holding a valid engineering license.
- Proven experience in the construction industry.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, organization, and leadership skills.
- Complete knowledge of various engineering principles and techniques.
- Willing to work/relocate in Ipoh, Perak.
