Penang Waldorf Education is a community school that has been providing Waldorf Education for over 13 years. With a dedicated team of over 90 families, 40 teaching staff, and Waldorf friends, our school accommodates over 130 pupils. We offer classes from Class 1 to Class 10, and also provide an IGCSE preparation class for Class 11 pupils. Our curriculum combines Chinese and English language teaching and provides a holistic learning experience for our students.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Language (English, Chinese and Malay) and Main Class Teacher at Penang Waldorf Education in Seberang Perai. The teacher will be responsible for lesson planning, education, communication, teaching, and training. They will create and implement lesson plans, foster a positive learning environment, communicate with students and parents, and contribute to the overall development of the school.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
  • Previous experience teaching primary or secondary school students is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Passionate about education and committed to student success.
  • Experience in curriculum development and teaching
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to create engaging and interactive lesson plans
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to create a supportive learning environment
  • Previous experience in Waldorf Education is a plus
