As a PDE Metrology Key Equipment Group Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for facilitating improvement of manufacturing capability, executing global business processes, and enabling the leverage of world-wide resources to deliver Best-In-Class performance. Your objective is to drive global peer groups to align and optimize manufacturing performance, which will include involvement in resolving tactical issues. Execute to this by focusing on manufacturing big rock performance gaps (metrics) and leverage the global network to define solutions that can be driven across all sites. You will work with your customers on benchmarking these metrics to improve performance in the Micron Backend. You are encouraged to explore the industry next gen equipment to ensure the supplier equipment roadmaps are aligned to Micron Technology Development Roadmap

This position also requires significant exploratory work in supporting the TD development to characterize the process by supporting engineering recipe in various metrology and inspection workstation. Additional responsibilities include the knowledge and use of statistical tools and concepts to ensure the quality of measurement/inspection data generated and the requirements needed of the Metro/RDA TOR.

Key responsibilities and task

  • Support METRO RDA MTEP Evaluation, Decision Analysis, develop and manage projects designed to reduce cost, improve throughput, reduce tool measurement variability, and perform research and develop new metrology capabilities to improve detection capability, fully in charge of tool integration into our manufacturing line for FOAK tool.
  • Partner with the metrology/RDA tool vendors to develop new hardware, software, and technologies related to recipe and hardware performance improvements, and define the equipment buy-off requirements to meet our current and future package roadmap.
  • Responsible for inspection & measurement of recipe development
  • We work closely with different teams to understand any relationship across the defense line and the feasibility of shift left activities.
  • Analysis correlation between wafer fabrication parameters and backend manufacturing issues to identify opportunities for gap closure, and work with the process integration team to reach a resolution.
  • Establish and define the Metrology/RDA Business Process.
  • Develop methodology for Metro/Inspection Data Continuity across all RDA/metro steps, you are required to demonstrate your knowledge and align with all other SMEs from the network team.
  • Establish Recipe Setup (POR) and Change Protocol for all Metro/RDA workstation types.
  • Good data analysis, statistical analysis, and data interpretation skills to support the product development work.

Job Requirements

  • Masters/bachelor’s in engineering and Relevant working experiences in RDA and/or Metrology.
  • Good communication skills, maintain a strong and open relationship with peer groups and appropriate team members in other functional areas such as Process Integration Engineering, Quality Systems, and Production Operations Management.
  • Promote global/network sharing and transfer of area-specific domain knowledge.
  • Proficiency, experience, and knowledge relating to product and test wafer capacity modeling, wafer at risk modeling, Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) concept and system, defect analysis tools, sampling strategy and systems, Statistical Process Control (SPC) tools, Cycle Time Management, tableau creation, SQL and Programming language and Organization Change Management have an advantage.
  • Python, Tableau, and PowerBI skills will be of great value to this position
  • Hands-on in recipe development for inspection and measurement workstations such as KLA, Rudolph, Nordson, CAMTEK preferred.
  • Willing to travel based on business needs and objectives.
