The opportunity

You’ll have the unique opportunity to work with some of the largest clients in Malaysia in their finance functions covering the following:

• Business process transformation

• Data Assessment

• Chart of Account Harmonisation

• Governance

Your key responsibilities

Business processes:

  • Work closely with the workstream lead and business SMEs to inventorise and establish Finance processes and identify touchpoints for other non-finance processes.
  • Recommend potential business processes for transformation across the company's value chain.
  • Work closely with leads to implement process changes within existing and future digital platform
  • Collaborate with leads to create clear procedures and guidelines for new processes, ensuring they serve as reference documents for sustainability, governance, and compliance with internal policies and external regulations
  • Assess Finance processes, recommend improvements and contribute to the implementation of approved standardization and digitization efforts

Data Assessment:

  • Participate in initial analysis of business data to assess data quality and overall health
  • Identify areas for improvement in data quality to ensure accuracy, completeness, effectiveness, and timely data availability

Chart of Account Harmonisation:

  • Work with workstream lead to harmonise definitions across company
  • Create data dictionary outlining the required information for each field, focusing on finance and tax analysis
  • Establish governance to ensure accurate and complete data entry

Governance:

  • Develop finance frameworks, guidelines, escalation procedures and tracking mechanisms
  • Execute and monitor tracking process

Skills and attributes for success

  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good soft skills and stakeholder management skills
  • Attentive to details

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Knowledge of SAP finance module.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in finance core operations in one or more Finance functions
  • Good knowledge in Microsoft Application such as Words, Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI.

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Working experience in Oil & Gas industries.
  • Experience in SAP Finance implementation projects
  • Experience working in a Finance Shared Service

What we look for

  • Minimum qualifications of Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information System (MIS), Information Technology (IT) Finance, or Accounting, or its equivalent
