Qualifications & experience

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a relatedtechnical field. Candidates with strong technical aptitude are encouraged to apply.
  • Technical Understanding: Basic knowledge of geotechnical engineering concepts and solutions. Familiarity with PLAXIS or GeoStudio (Slope/W) is a plus but not mandatory—we welcome fast learners eager to expand their expertise.
  • Interest in Sales: Enthusiasm for sales and client engagement. Willingness to develop sales skills within a technical environment.
  • Experience Level: 1-3 years of professional experience. Previous experience in sales or customer-facing roles is advantageous but not required.
  • Communication Skills: Proficient in English and Bahasa Melayu, with excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to build and maintain client relationships through effective communication and understanding of client needs.
  • Willingness to Travel: Ability to travel and meet clients on-site as required.
  • Adaptability and Learning Agility: Quick learner who is adaptable and open to acquiring new skills in both technical and sales areas.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic team environment and contribute positively to team objectives.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the geotechnical software sector by conducting market research on industry trends and competitors. Build and maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals.
  • Technical Sales Support: Provide basic level technical consultation and product demonstrations for PLAXIS and GeoStudio to prospective and existing clients. Develop customized sales proposals and quotations that address specific client requirements.
  • Sales Pipeline and CRM Management: Manage and maintain an accurate sales pipeline to meet sales targets, updating the CRM system with client details, sales activities, and follow-ups. Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management review.
  • Marketing and Outreach: Participate in exhibitions, conferences, and webinars to promote products and services. Collaborate with marketing to develop promotional materials and campaigns. Update the company’s LinkedIn and website with relevant content from Bentley and industry sources.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Provide client feedback to improve products and services while working closely with internal teams. Assist in training sessions or workshops to educate clients and team members as needed.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Ensure high customer satisfaction by promptly addressing client inquiries and concerns. Follow up post-purchase to confirm product effectiveness and gather feedback. Implement strategies to enhance customer experience and loyalty.
