Job Purpose

  • Plan and carry out direct marketing activities to agreed budgets and timescales, for achieving the target set.
  • Develop constructive ideas and create offers for marketing to major key accounts.
  • Develop new International business opportunities and strengthen existing networks.
  • Provide monthly reports on activities, rep office, and segment revenue, and consolidate patients’ database from rep offices and walk-in customers
  • Carry out administrative duties for the department
  • Work closely with Independent Referral Agents, Representative Offices (ROs), and the International Marketing Centre (IPC) team in growing hospital revenue.
  • To supervise, assist, and monitor the performance of ROs.
  • To create better branding awareness and grow the markets of Expatriate, International students, and MM2H sectors.
  • To assist in media-related matters, branding, collaterals, and flyers required for marketing and promotion for the international market
  • To collaborate for marketing programs with Sunway Business Units such as Sunway University, Hotels, etc; and the stakeholders such as travel agents, airlines, MHTC, etc.
  • Perform other related duties as may be assigned or delegated by the Superior or any other person as directed by the Management from time to time.

Job Responsibilities

A) Take charge of the portfolio given and drive the business for the particular segment assigned

  • Plan & coordinate health talks, roadshows, exhibitions, and other marketing and promotion activities with the program itinerary with ample time for preparation.
  • Do not delay the necessary workflow such as processing the event expenses payment, requesting petty cash, preparing the event materials, travel arrangements, etc.

B) To make a close rapport with agents, representative office, and the patients; it’s achieved by:

  • Regular emails, calls, and other communication channels to build friendly and informal conversations, for better care and understanding of client’s needs.
  • Regular business trips to visit ROs to update the market changes and challenges.
  • Meet up with patients overseas as well as when patients have arrived in the hospital.
  • Appropriate attire and good communication skills when dealing with patients and agents.

C) Building good relationships with Doctors and inter-departments colleagues; is achieved by:

  • Communicate well with doctors, and build good teamwork with co-workers from other departments such as the International Patient Centre, Corporate Communications, Finance, Wellness, Front Office, and Nursing.
  • Adhering to the department’s workflow and SOPs.
  • Deputizing the manager’s duties in his absence.
  • Self-improving by attending teamwork workshop training under the in-service training schedules or external conferences.

D) Perform any other duties assigned to meet company and business goals and objectives. For example: -

  • Participates in other related activities of SunMed to ensure the constant growth and smooth-running of SunMed.
  • Participate actively in learning and development interventions identified by the company to acquire the required knowledge and skills for current and/or future job requirements.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Tourism, Hospitality or equivalent.
  • A proven track record of 5-7 years in business development, corporate account management, or sales & marketing industry, preferably in a hospital or medical institution would be an advantage.
  • Possess superior relationship management skills, negotiation, and people skills.
  • Have a strong sensitivity to customer satisfaction, and understand & respond to customer needs.
  • Possessing solid analytical and communication skills (speech and writing) in English, Bahasa Malaysia, Bahasa Indonesia, Mandarin, or any other language would be advantage.
  • Demonstrate tenacity and integrity, and can work effectively and independently as a team member.
