A Business Analyst (BA) is a specialized role within procurement that plays a pivotal role a Zebra by acting as a bridge between internal business partners and external manufacturing partners. They help set and execute on quarter cost and are vital in understanding the financial impacts and drivers of those costs.

Responsibilities:

  • Partnering with internal procurement stakeholders and external tier 1 manufacturers, oversee and manage the costed Bill of Materials (BOM) pricing cadence, ensuring timely updates, accuracy, and alignment with cost targets.
  • Create, monitor, and report on key pricing metrics, providing actionable insights to support strategic decision-making. Proposes resolutions for issues of limited scope to more senior level analysts/supervisor and escalates complex issues to supervisor or senior staff for resolution
  • May be responsible for BOM data governance, focusing on the accuracy, quality, and consistency of BOM across assigned areas of responsibility to support manufacturing, supply chain.
  • Identifies and interprets trends, patterns, and anomalies in BOM datasets to locate potential discrepancies, variances, or influences, ensuring the data's usefulness in procurement reporting data sets
  • Support internal Finance and Procurement teams in delivering actionable insights on financial performance and opportunities to improve.
  • Experience in advanced data analytics, cleaning, and transformation; required (Excel, Power BI) preferred (Alteryx, SQL, Python, R, Google Cloud Platform)
  • Experience with Agile PLM or similar Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems is preferred.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2-5 years experience
  • Can synthesize complex data into themes, stories and recommendations
  • Intermediate systems knowledge in assigned functional area
  • Microsoft Excel - intermediate skills
  • Can present data in a visually compelling format to help business stakeholders understand the issues, possibilities and recommendations
  • Microsoft PowerPoint - intermediate
  • Presentation skills - intermediate skills required. Some formal training in public speaking/presentation skills preferred
