Overview
Collaborate closely with the Corporate Compliance Manager and the broader Corporate Compliance team to uphold standards and cultivate a culture of compliance throughout the organization. Assume the role of ensuring adherence to compliance requirements within assigned markets and/or business functions. Provide the necessary support and counsel to diverse stakeholders, covering the entire operational compliance lifecycle, encompassing areas such as Responsible Gaming, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), customer complaints, regulatory proceedings, and marketing content.
Job Responsibilities
- Aware of the ever-changing landscape of legislation, regulations, and industry standards; translating this into relevant policy changes as required, highlighting any development required, risks and/or areas for improvement.
- Collaborate as a "strategic partner" with key stakeholders, including the Management team, to understand and support the commercial environment and products, addressing compliance challenges effectively.
- Provide guidance to the organization on adhering to regulations concerning current and future licensing requirements, actively participating in relevant projects.
- Forge strong collaborative ties with cross-functional teams such as Marketing Operations, Legal, and Finance to reinforce and ensure coherence within the broader compliance framework.
- Cultivate and sustain positive relationships with regulatory bodies, participating in regulatory engagements as needed and in a timely fashion.
- Address compliance escalations as necessary, ensuring timely resolution.
- Supervise and nurture a small team of direct reports, fostering their growth and development according to the organization’s core values.
- Remain updated on industry and internal performance indicators, ensuring comprehensive oversight of regulatory landscapes in relevant markets and/or business functions.
- Effectively manage workloads, ensuring adherence to deadlines and promoting robust governance procedures.
- Take the lead in internal projects aimed at enhancing and refining our compliance strategy.
- Provide support for additional projects as required.
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Experience :
- A bachelor’s degree in law, business, finance or a related field would greatly help, but not essential. Advanced degree or professional certification in compliance (ICA or CGCS certifications) is a plus.
- At least 2 years’ experience in the same or relevant field and/or industry.
- Required Language (s): English and Mandarin (written and spoken).
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
