At IIB, we're looking for a talented and dynamic Real Estate Finance & Economics Specialist to join our team!

You will be responsible for conducting economic benchmarking, strategic opportunity derivation, financial analysis, developing business models, and becoming the centralised anchor in providing insights for our real estate investments. If you have strong quants, forecasting, and financial modeling skills, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

1. Advanced Excel Skills:

  • Able to demonstrate proficiency in various Excel functions, including data analysis tools, financial functions, and VBA programming.

2. Economic Research and Benchmarking:

  • Possesses a strategic acumen for identifying key market trends and statistics to make strategic recommendations for IIB
  • Conduct comprehensive research to assess trends, property values and economic factors affecting real estate investments
  • Analyse demographic data and economic indicators to forecast market movements

3. Investment Evaluation:

  • Understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and financial ratios.
  • Familiarity with corporate finance theories, funding strategies, valuation methods, and capital budgeting techniques.
  • Assess opportunities for acquisition, development or disposition, providing detailed financial analysis and recommendations

4. Statistical Analysis:

  • Knowledge of statistical concepts (regression modelling, statistical data factoring and other methods) for data analysis and forecasting.

5. Real Estate Valuation:

  • Expertise in real estate valuation methodologies, such as project feasibility, comparable sales analysis, income capitalization, and cost approach.

7. Financial Modeling:

  • Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate the feasbility of real estate investments, including cash flow projections, ROI and risk assessments.
  • Ability to accurately forecast cash flows and project financial performance.

8. Scenario Analysis:

  • Skill in conducting sensitivity analysis and stress testing to assess risk and uncertainty.

Qualifications & Experience

  • CFA holder or other relevant financial certifications is a bonus.
  • ⁠Masters or Bachelors Degree in Real Estate Finance / Economics / Accounting & Finance / Mathematics / Statistics
  • Overall possess 8-10 years working experience
  • ⁠Min 3-5 years experience in a real estate development, investment firm, consultancy or accounting advisory firm.
  • Proficient in financial modeling
  • Knowledge of the real estate sector.
  • Able to work independently
