Your Role:
Reporting to the Technical Delivery Manager, you will participate in the development of new solutions for our systems and help onboard new clients into our existing systems. You will own your code and ensure to document it, test it and share unit tests. You will have to work closely with other teams as needed to ensure delivering functionality as per specifications
Responsibilities:
- Full-stack web development with code development on APIs, Backend and some UIs for insurance products.
- Develop new systems / functions as shared requirements.
- You will review the functional requirements, participate in technical specifications when needed and particularly implementation as well as automated unit tests.
- Organize and structure code ensuring to keep best practices for security, performance, reusability and easy maintenance.
- Designing/developing web software including backend, frontend and API
- Work together with 3rd party providers
- Provide unit test as part of deliverables
- Participate in the development of the systems and bring some new ideas
Requirements (MUST HAVE):
- Strong Experience with back-end development (NodeJS and Laravel PHP)
- Knowledge of REST APIs
- Experience working with Docker containers
- Experience with AWS and services offered
- 5+ years experience developing web applications
- Strong understanding of the Software design/architecture process
- Attention to details considering testing scenarios during development
- Eager to learn new technologies and acquire new knowledge
- Active and responsive
- Proven experience with strong portfolio of completed projects
- Ability to work multi task effectively
- Good team player, communication skills are critical for this position
Desirables (preferred):
- Strong experience in Cloud Technologies, AWS certification
- Experience working with compliance requirements such as GDPR, PCI DSS, PDPA...
- Knowledge of NodeJS / Express framework
- Knowledge of serverless technologies
- Knowledge of Linux systems
- Candidates with experience in the travel insurance industry or related fields will have the privilege of being considered for this role
