Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To design the processes for the treatment of liquid, solid, gas and the applications of renewable energy utilization to meet project requirements
  • To be responsible for process design documentation, tender bid review and proposal development, including mass balances, P&ID's, isometric drawings, process descriptions, supporting calculations, etc.
  • To provide input into design documents including, control philosophy, design risk assessments, commissioning plans, risk assessments, method statements, O&M manuals
  • To coordinate activities of vendor representatives and subcontractors.
  • To support system process commissioning field activities, analyse and evaluate operation data, fault finding and process optimization.
  • To undertake operator training on mechanical, electrical, and process aspects of plant
  • To represent in client meetings and take ownership of process design for assigned projects as well as to review tender and contractual requirements.
  • To design and implement safety procedures for facility and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • To research new methods of treatment processes and renewable energy utilization processes.
  • To own R&D projects as assigned and to actively develop and improve systems and processes.

Requirements:

  • Strong technical engineering skills in plant design, system integration and commissioning or similar including process start up.
  • Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization and problem-solving skills.
  • Have 1 - 5 years in process engineering experiences, preferably in wastewater / waste process industry projects.
  • Master or Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Technical Physics, Process Technology or related degree
  • Experience and knowledge of pipeline class specification, pipe and fittings, pipe support, instrumentation, PLC, SCADA, pumps, E&I wiring and control panels.
  • Good inter-personal skills, a proactive team player in combination with a strong self-supporting/ independent character.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Commercial awareness, good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be capable of devising new approaches to problems encountered.
