JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Candidate must possess at least a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent with at least 3 year(s) of working experience in Costing/NPI Process/Metal Fabrication/Machining Industry.
- Able to interpret, understand mechanical / technical drawing.
- Knowledge of tolerance analysis and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Proficient in SolidWorks , Auto Cad software program applications.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication at all levels, including with management, customers at all levels, suppliers and colleagues.
- Posses an excellent mathematical and analytical skill.
JOB DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES
- To review and provide analytical engineering evaluation and commercial advice on all RFQs received.
- Preparing quotation upon receiving RFQ from customer base on the minimum order quantity (MOQ) and estimated annual usage (EAU).
- To understand customer’s requirements such as specifications, standards, and special requirements and criticality on the product requirements.
- Check customer drawings and design BOM checklist on the requirements and formulate the relevant costings.
- Coordinate with other departments (QA, Engineering, NPI, supply chain), ensuring final quotation and costing meets target margin and coordinate reviews and approvals before deadlines.
- To collect data, develop new standard costing for manufacturing process & update standard cost on existing operations regularly.
- To carry out variance analysis on standard cost against actual cost for on job and existing items for inaccuracies & cost control purpose.
- To source for required tools, services, materials, equipment etc.
- To monitor project status, attend meetings with customers, follow through on the projects.
