Lecturer

Lecturer share university or college lecturers' academic workload, specifically the provision of lectures to students. They prepare and teach classes, and meet with students privately regarding evaluation. They also combine their lecturing and other academic duties with conducting their own research in their field of study. Assistant lecturers occupy an autonomous, full-time position, despite what the subservience element in the occupation title may suggest.

As a Lecturer, the Personnel is required to:

a) Publish international journal paper and full length paper in reputed international conference proceeding related to your field of specialization of the work done at Multimedia University as per KPI set by the faculty to support the university’s strategy and objective. Patent may be accepted as a substituted for each paper but must be of exceptional quality and merit as judged by international experts from abroad. The journal, proceedings materials or patent that meets the acceptable international standard shall be decided by Multimedia University’s management at its sole discretion; and

b) achieve at least above average grades (a minimum of 3.5 out of 5.0 in Multimedia University’s teaching scales) in all teaching evaluations for courses taught at Multimedia University when required to; and

c) register into an approved post-graduate program in Multimedia University or elsewhere as determined by Multimedia University in not later than six (6) months after your appointment and must obtain the degree of Doctor of Philosophy within four (4) years from this date of appointment should there be an extension of this contract or should you be admitted as a permanent appointment. You must achieve excellent progress in all assessments as posted by your supervisor. If you are unable to achieve this, you may be terminated from employment at Multimedia University; and

d) demonstrate a recognition of your expertise either through industrial consultation or invitation to international meetings / conferences as a resource person; and

e) demonstrate satisfactory administrative work when required to.

(Note : You shall be responsible for obtaining the necessary funds, consultancies and research assistants / candidates to achieve the above targets ).
