PIPE LIFTING SUPERVISOR

1. Supervise heavy lifting activities of crane operators, riggers and signalers. 2. Select and identify suitable crane capacity to perform the operation with an adequate margin of safety. 3. Ensure that the crane and lifting equipment is in good running condition. 4. Operate yard, collar and mobile crane to lift, move, and position loads, such as structures, materials and platforms. 5. Inspect condition of work site prior to the operation of the crane. 6. Identify potential hazards and unsafe lifting practices if necessary. 7. Perform daily routine checks based on the ‘checklist’ and report any malfunction or abnormality. 8. Inspect crane for defective parts and request for repairs.
