Job Description
- Handle advance room reservations, ensure availability, quote rates, and guarantee all reservations with approved payments, especially during high occupancy. Ensure clear guest communication on full charges for non-arrivals and report if the forecasted full house is not achieved.
- Maintain close relationships with key business clients.
- Type and file reservation confirmation slips, and keep accurate records of all client segments (commercial, government, GDS, CRS, etc.).
- Exhibit professional telephone etiquette.
- Be familiar with all room types, rates, and promotions, and accurately manage room inventory and configurations.
- Stay updated on room status (occupancy, VIP arrivals, etc.), and liaise with sales for group bookings and billing instructions.
- Assign rooms, rectify Front Desk errors, and ensure accurate statistics.
- Coordinate with maintenance for out-of-order rooms as needed.
- Manage stationery stock and clean forms.
- Send reservation confirmations via fax or correspondence.
- Follow up on credit payment reservations, ensuring approval before guest check-in.
- File and produce reports as requested by management, and track no-shows, cancellations, etc.
- Process advance deposits and draft proper invoices or deposit vouchers for guaranteed reservations.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Good command of English
- Pleasing personality
- Well verse with property management system system.
- Well verse with reservation direct booking engine.
- Well verse with online travel agent.
- Guest oriented and service minded
- Good communication skill
- 2 - 3 years’ experience in a similar position in a quality operation.
