  1. Make sure the webpage is open.
  2. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Safari > Preferences, then click Security.
  3. Make sure the Enable JavaScript checkbox is selected.
  4. Click Websites.
  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

  5. Click JavaScript.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advice and act on all legal related matters, regulatory and compliance issues.
  • Draft, review and solidify agreements, contracts and other legal documents to ensure the company’s full legal rights.
  • Specify internal governance policies and regularly monitor compliance.
  • Negotiate all legal matters having the Company’s interest protected.
  • Monitor corporate litigation and manage all external solicitors.
  • Give accurate and timely counsel in a variety of legal topics (labor law, partnerships, international ventures, corporate finance etc.).
  • Research and evaluate different risk factors regarding business decisions and operations.
  • Apply effective risk management techniques and offer proactive advice on possible legal issues.
  • Communicate and negotiate with external parties (regulators, external counsel, public authority etc.), creating relations of trust.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year relevant experience in corporate law and transactions.
  • Good verbal and written English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin communication skills as the role required to review legal documents from Chinese speaking countries.
  • Personality traits - pleasant, self-motivated, enthusiastic, meticulous, result-oriented, responsible, independent, trustworthy, ethical and a team player.
  • Ability to anticipate business and legal issues proactively and ensure that risks are identified ahead of time and proper actions are implemented.
  • Good critical thinking, creative problem-solving abilities and pragmatic/business-oriented approach to legal issues.
  • Good legal drafting and writing skills.
  • Those with international experience in MNC would have an added advantage.
  • Possess a Degree in Law/Business Law from a recognised university and CLP.
