Instrumentation Designer

To perform this role successfully, the individual will be responsible for the instrumentation engineering & preparation of drawings and 3D-Modelling required for the execution of Industrial projects (Petrochemical, Pharmaceutical, Semiconductor, Mission Critical projects – Data Centre) from concept design, FEED design and detailed design.

Job Responsibilities

  • Review and analysis of regulatory requirement and safety design as per standards
  • Prepare high quality engineering deliverables within agreed timeline
  • Responsible in preparing all drawings document below with the assist from Engineer as min.
  • Instrument System Architecture
  • Instrument Cable Block Diagram
  • Instrument Loop Drawings
  • Instrument Termination Diagram
  • Instrument Location and Junction Box Layout
  • Instrument Main Cable Routing and Tray Drawing
  • Instrument Hook-up Drawing
  • Instrument Installation Details
  • Instrument Panel GA drawing
  • Assist Engineer in quantify all trays, cables and bulk materials to be included in Bill of Materials Take off.
  • Basis understanding in main cable routing design, instrument hook-up, instrument Junction box termination diagram, and loop drawing.
  • Ability to locate and design instrument in 3D model using SP3D / PDMS is added an advantage.
  • Teamwork and able to support other discipline.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Diploma in Instrumentation / Electrical / Electronic Engineering or related discipline
  • 6-10 years’ experience in the Instrumentation engineering preferably in Industrial projects.
  • Experienced in EPCM work environment.
  • Experienced in tools and software such as Autocad, SP3D, PDMS.
  • Thorough Knowledge of Malaysia Code and local legislative regulations / International codes regulations.
  • Added value in having past work experience in the multicultural team and hybrid environment.
  • Experienced in site installation is added advantage.
  • Good communication skills.
