Instrumentation Engineer

To perform this role successfully, the individual will be responsible for the instrumentation engineering & preparation of drawings and technical documentation required for the execution of Industrial projects (Petrochemical, Pharmaceutical, Semiconductor, Mission Critical projects – Data Centre) from concept design, FEED design and detailed design.

Job Responsibilities

• Review and analysis of regulatory requirement and safety design as per standards
• Prepare high quality engineering deliverables within agreed timeline
• Basis of Design / Automation Topology for DCS / SIS / FGS / BMS (Building Automation System)
• Instrument Data Sheets & Sizing for selection
• I/O List / Control System Configuration Diagram / Cable Block Diagram
• CCTV specification and architecture
• Fire alarm and fire suppression system
• Instrument Cable Duct Route Plot Plan
• Cable Schedule, loop drawings, instrument connection list
• Construction Specification
• Detail Design for Cabinet, Equipment and Device, etc.
• Detail Design Instrument Installation Details Drawing
• Detail Design Instrument Hook up drawing
• Bill of Materials Take off.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation / Electrical / Electronic Engineering or related discipline
• 6-10 years’ experience in the Instrumentation engineering preferably in Industrial projects.
• Registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia. PEng is an added advantage.
• Experienced in EPCM work environment.
• Experienced in Management of Change (MOC) projects are an added advantage.
• Strong experience in Instrumentation engineering and construction work.
• Experienced in tools and software such as SP Intools, Autocad etc.
• Thorough Knowledge of Malaysia Code and local legislative regulations / International codes regulations
• Added value in having past work experience in the multicultural team and hybrid environment.
• Good communication skills.
