o Manage and ensure efficiency in day-to-day operations of Pharmacy department (Outpatient & Inpatient Services). o Identify pharmaceutical care problems and recommend necessary interventions to optimize patient’s therapeutic outcome. o Lead, train, supervise and evaluate the performance of Pharmacy staff, schedule and assign work and develop priorities, provide professional expertise as and when needed. o Be responsible in manpower planning and staff schedule of the department. o Participate in the planning and budgeting for Pharmacy requirement. o Maintain current knowledge of pharmaceutical, clinical pharmacy advances and government regulations related to Pharmacy. o To provide up to date drug information to the medical practitioners, other healthcare professionals and members of the public. o Be responsible for the storage, control, documentation and supply of Psychotropic, Dangerous Drugs and Controlled Drugs as well as proper maintenance of records. o Maintain and monitor inventory movement and minimize wastage. o Coordinate and participate in stock take exercise as scheduled by the hospital. o Maintain the standard of pharmacy practice within the Pharmacy department. o Be involved in the digitalization initiative projects of the Pharmacy department. o Be responsible in managing Uncollected Medicine, Refund Medicine, Pending Medicine, Repeat Medicine, Medicine Delivery services (monitoring and monthly report required). o Support the hospital administration in the preparation, documentation and implementation of any program towards the accreditation of MSQH, JCI and any other quality system accreditation. o Be involved in multi-disciplinary committees and teams where Pharmacy matters are discussed, included but not limited to Drugs & Therapeutics Subcommittee and Hospital Infection & Antibiotic Control Committee. o To coordinate and collaborate with other departments or sections for activities pertaining to Pharmacy department. o To plan and implement new strategic plans in the Pharmacy service. o Ensure all services comply with all regulations related to Pharmacy practice.
