YOUR TASKS

  • Customs Query Agent (CQ) in the Gateway is the first point of contact with internal & external customers. This requires an individual to achieve internal & external customer satisfaction. Each call is an opportunity to create a person-to-person contact that makes DHL their preferred service provider.
  • To attend to incoming customer telephone calls in a warm, courteous and yet professional manner
  • To seek confirmation and approval from the consignee, consignor or origin for consignments attracting duty stipulated by customs department prior to shipment clearance
  • To ensure that the Import supporting documentations (Permits, Custom 2, Bank Guarantee) are monitored and returned to customers after clearance
  • To ensure enquiries and traces received from NCG and other internal departments are responded in timely manner
  • To respond to service failures and follow-ups with the appropriate supervisor or manager to ensure that customers’ needs and issues are attended and to their satisfaction.
  • To remind customers of disposable of shipments in writing for queries pending more than 14 days caused by them and the imposing of storage charges for shipments not cleared within 48-hours

YOUR PROFILE
  • Keyboard skills (preferably with speeds of at least 30 words per minute)
  • Computer literacy (preferably including previous experience with Order Booking Systems)
  • Communication skills
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Professional telephone manner
  • Advanced Telephone Skills (including Conflict resolution Skills)
  • Diploma and above (preferable)
  • Preferably with minimum 2 years experience in a Customer Service or Telesales environment in a service industry
