Job Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Team Management:

Lead and manage a team and ensure all operations comply with relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.

  • Warehouse Management:

Oversee warehouse operations, including inventory management, storage, and shipping/receiving activities. Develop and implement inventory management systems to ensure accurate tracking and management of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.

  • Production Planning:

Establish and execute production plans and schedules to ensure cost-effective and timely production

  • Supply Chain Planning:

Coordinate and manage transportation activities, including trucking and air freight, to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.

  • Budgeting and Cost Control:

Manage operating budgets, track costs, and identify areas for cost reduction to optimise profitability.

  • Employee Development & Performance Monitoring:

Identify training needs for employees and develop training programms to improve skills and knowledge. Ensure that the company is accomplishing its objectives by monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) including productivity, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

  • Risk Management:

Identify and mitigate risks in the operations department, including supply chain disruptions, equipment failures, and quality control issues.

  • Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, such as food safety regulations, and other relevant laws and standards.

  • Others:

Foster a positive work environment and promote open communication among team members.

Coordinate with maintenance staff to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks and repairs.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in operations management, logistics, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the food industry in operations management or logistics role.
  • Strong understanding of food industry regulations and standards.
  • Experience with WMS/SAP systems will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willing to work extended hours when necessary, including evenings, weekends, or holidays, to meet business needs and deadlines.
  • Willing to work in Klang Valley.
