DEVOPS NETWORK ENGINEER

Key Responsibilities

1. Network Infrastructure Design and Implementation:

• Design and implement network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, VPN, and firewall configurations.
• Deploy and configure network devices such as routers, switches, load balancers, and access points. Ensure network security by implementing best practices and monitoring for vulnerabilities.

2. DevOps Implementation and Automation:

• Collaborate with development teams to streamline the software deployment process.
• Implement continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like Azure Devops, GitLab CI, or similar.
• Automate deployment, monitoring, and scaling of applications using configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.

3. Monitoring and Performance Optimization:

• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal uptime and reliability. Implement monitoring solutions such as Nagios, Zabbix, or Prometheus to proactively detect and address network and application issues.
• Optimize network and application performance through load balancing, caching, and other techniques.

4. Security and Compliance:

• Implement security policies and procedures to protect network infrastructure and data.
• Stay up to date with security best practices and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
• Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate risks.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in network engineering and administration.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, etc.).
• Proficiency in DevOps tools and methodologies (CI/CD, automation, version control, etc.).
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Have knowledge of AWS/Front Door, Azure, and Digital Ocean for cloud infrastructure management.
• Monitor and audit IP addresses to ensure compliance and security.
• Have knowledge of Cloudfare for enhanced security measures.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
