Main responsibilities
  • Development and implementation of targeted learning initiatives aligned with the Ship Management Strategy and in agreement with business stakeholders.
  • Provide the business with learning expertise, solutions and methodologies, including promoting the use of available (digital) tools, including piloting new ways of learning.
  • Pro-actively support the execution of the Wilhelmsen learning philosophy ‘learn-share-apply’ in Ship Management together with relevant business stakeholders.
  • Design and delivery of digital learning solutions by using design techniques to inspire, motivate and engage learners (utilizing all kinds of learning technology, including piloting new).
  • Conduct effective and engaging online and classroom-based training sessions as trainer and/or (co-) facilitator.
  • Drive learning analytics (measure and analyse data on activity, satisfaction, learning, application and impact – where available – for continuous improvement and to provide insight/results in a meaningful way to the right audiences).
  • Develop and continuously review the learning offer to suit business needs and its level of impact.
  • Ensure optimal use of the Wilhelmsen Learning Management System and other digital tools available.
  • Pro-actively challenge existing ways of working within Learning and Development through
  • following market trends and new technologies
  • Pro-actively exchange knowledge, best practices and new technologies with Learning & Development colleagues in other Wilhelmsen companies.

Qualifications
  • Higher professional education in Learning and Development or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience within the field of organisational learning and development
  • Experience with and curiosity in using creative visual design in digital learning technologies
  • General business and HR understanding
  • Pedagogical insight and experience (methodologies, design and delivery)
  • Experience with analysing data and measurement of learning initiatives
  • A life-long learner with a keen interest in staying up-to-date on developments in the (digital) learning industry.
  • Self-driven, the ability to see improvement potentials and act on them
  • Excellent communication skills in a multi-cultural organisation
  • Strong interpersonal skills to be able to engage individuals and groups during training sessions
  • Team player and good at stakeholder management
  • High ethical standards and the ability to work with sensitive data in a responsible manner
  • Excellent command of the English language
  • Strong organisational and planning skills to be able to work towards deadlines and within agreed budget and quality
  • Solid IT skills in working with MS Office applications
