Junior Accountant

Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Junior Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will oversee all financial aspects of our business and its Group Companies throughout Southeast Asia and the US, etc. (“Group Companies”) and drive the company’s financial strategy and planning.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting and Analysis:

· Prepare and review financial statements, following US GAAP and IFRS.

· Analyze financial variances and report to senior management.

· Help prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior management.

2. Accounting Operations:

· Manage the company’s internal accounting system including daily accounting tasks: accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger.

· Reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts.

· Ensure timely and accurate financial period closings.

3. Consolidation Accounting:

· Assist in consolidating financial statements for multiple entities.

· Handle intercompany transactions and eliminations.

· Follow consolidation accounting standards.

4. Budgeting and Forecasting:

· Help prepare budgets and financial forecasts.

· Monitor and analyze budget performance.

· Support strategic planning with financial projections.

5. Audit and Compliance:

· Support and coordinate with internal and external auditors and tax advisors with required documentation.

· Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and financial regulations and standards (including compliance with listing requirements for Group Companies).

· Maintain effective internal controls over financial reporting.

6. Use of Accounting Software:

· Use QuickBooks, Xero, or other accounting software for financial management and reporting.

· Set up and maintain accounting systems.

· Support staff on accounting software.

7. Financial Strategy and Advisory:

· Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions.

· Analyze financial data to identify trends and improvements.

· Collaborate with departments to enhance financial performance.

8. Team Collaboration and Management:

· Work with the team for accurate and timely reports.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams.

9. Professional Development:

· Stay updated on accounting standards and regulations.

· Continuously improve skills through professional development.

10. Additional Responsibilities:

· Participate in special projects and financial analyses.

· Assist in implementing financial systems and process improvements.

· Lead budgeting and forecasting activities.

· Support mergers and acquisitions activities as needed.

· Support related product development activities as needed.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certificate is a plus.

2. At least 2-3 years of experience in accounting or finance, working experience with a Big 4 accounting firm or equivalent is a plus.

3. Proficient knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS, including consolidation accounting.

4. Hands-on experience with accounting SaaS platforms such as QuickBooks and Xero.

5. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

6. Professional proficiency in English is a must, including reading and writing.

Working Hours: 9:00 am – 6:00 pm (5 days a week)
