Key Responsibilities:

1. Deliver high-quality research and analysis on currency & rates markets, including major pairs, emerging market currencies, and geopolitical factors.

2. Develop and implement innovative trading strategies to capitalize on market opportunities and mitigate risks, taking into account factors such as interest rate differentials, economic indicators, and central bank policies.

3. Conduct in-depth analysis of macroeconomic data, geopolitical events, and market trends to provide actionable insights and recommendations to traders, sales teams, and institutional clients.

4. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including sales, trading, and risk management teams, to ensure alignment of trading strategies with overall business objectives and risk appetite.

5. Stay abreast of industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies impacting the foreign exchange market, and incorporate relevant insights into strategic decision-making processes.

6. Cultivate and maintain relationships with key clients, providing expert guidance and market commentary to support their investment decisions and trading activities.

7. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance research methodologies, analytical tools, and reporting capabilities, ensuring the team remains at the forefront of industry best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA, CFA) preferred.
  • Extensive experience (8+ years) in foreign exchange & rates strategy, analysis, or trading within a sell-side institution or financial services firm.
  • Proven track record of success in developing and implementing profitable trading strategies in the foreign exchange market.
  • Deep understanding of macroeconomics, monetary policy, and global financial markets, with the ability to interpret complex data and identify market trends.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with the capacity to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and delivering results under pressure.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, statistical analysis, and relevant software tools (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters, Excel).
