Our client is a market-leading semiconductor company with a worldwide footprint. Due to rapid expansion, they are currently seeking a Research & Development Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive strategic initiatives to innovate and commercialize technologies, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Build and enhance internal capabilities to support value engineering, cost reduction, and effective problem-solving.
  • Develop the necessary infrastructure to meet strategic development targets.
  • Collaborate with customers on new products, materials, and processes, with a focus on speed, cost-efficiency, and smooth manufacturing.
  • Supervise multiple product design teams, ensuring swift time-to-market at optimized costs.
  • Lead packaging solutions and deliver detailed customer presentations on technology.
  • Work with design and production teams to provide crucial insights on product design, assembly, and testing.
  • Ensure the company's technical strategy aligns with its broader business objectives.
  • Advise management on new developments that could affect profitability, timelines, costs, or customer relations.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies to enhance operations and products, offering actionable recommendations.
  • Develop and improve products for key market segments, fostering growth in new markets.
  • Oversee the R&D pilot line, focusing on efficiency and continuous improvement.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • 10-15 years of experience in the semiconductor industry.
  • Expertise in Assembly and Testing processes.
  • Deep knowledge of IC packaging and materials.
  • Strong project management skills, from product introduction to mass production.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing and operational processes.
  • Proficiency in business planning and budget management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, capable of building positive relationships with peers, customers, and stakeholders.
  • Excellent project management and cross-functional leadership abilities.
  • Assertive, proactive, and a collaborative team leader.
