Position Summary:

The Retail Associate will be responsible for arranging, shelving, and maintaining the store’s products to ensure a clean and organized shopping environment.

The role also involves assisting customers as needed and providing excellent customer service. This position does not require prior experience, but a background in customer service is preferred.

The role is shift-based, and candidates must be flexible with their availability, including weekends and holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Arrangement & Shelving:

- Ensure all store shelves are stocked, organized, and properly labelled.

- Assist in the unloading of deliveries and arrange products in the storage area and on the sales floor.

- Rotate stock to ensure products are used or sold before their expiration dates.

- Ensure that the store's displays are visually appealing and well-maintained.

- Conduct regular checks of shelves and storage areas to ensure stock availability.

2. Customer Service:

- Provide assistance to customers by answering queries and guiding them to product locations.

- Maintain a friendly, approachable demeanour when interacting with customers.

- Assist in resolving basic customer complaints or direct them to the store supervisor for resolution.

3. Store Maintenance:

- Ensure the store is clean, including aisles, shelves, and product display areas.

- Regularly check for and remove any damaged or expired products from shelves.

- Assist in keeping the stockroom and store areas well-organized.

4. Team Collaboration:

- Work closely with store supervisors and other team members to ensure smooth store operations.

- Assist cashiers or other personnel as needed during peak hours or busy shifts.

Qualifications and Skills:

- No prior experience required, but some experience in customer service is preferred.

- Basic understanding of store operations and product handling.

- Strong attention to detail and organization skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
