We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. THE JOB:

  • Conduct surveys of buildings to assess and repair mechanical systems in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Install, maintain, and repair ventilation and air conditioning systems.
  • Identify and mitigate maintenance risks on equipment.
  • Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC systems.
  • Clean, adjust, and repair systems, including performing warranty services.
  • Respond promptly and efficiently to emergency repair requests.
  • Provide technical direction and on-the-job training to junior staff.
  • Maintain daily logs and records of all maintenance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with appliance standards and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  • Adhere to service standards, work instructions, and customer requirements.
  • Assist customers with inquiries and provide exceptional service.

THE INCUMBENT:

  • High school diploma or GED (or equivalent).
  • 1+ years of experience as an HVAC technician; commitment to ongoing education in the field is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating principles.
  • Knowledge of boiler systems and their operations.
  • Proficient in balancing air and water treatment systems in accordance with HVAC protocols.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to read schematics and work plans accurately.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including after hours, weekends, and holidays with short notice.
  • Capability to work in confined spaces as required.
