Facilities Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities:

1.Responsible for day-to-day operation, preventive maintenance and calibration of critical utilities i.e. HVAC, Compressed Dry Air (CDA), Cooling Tower and Chiller to attain efficiency and effectiveness.

2.Responsible to ensure smooth operation and maintenance of critical systems i.e. Building Management System (BMS) and Environmental Management System (EMS).

3.To assist Plant Facilities Manager in developing work plans, assign tasks and supervise staff of the Plant Facilities Department in maintenance, qualification, calibration and troubleshooting of critical and non-critical system and utilities, including managing external contractor and service provider at site. Non-critical utilities are boiler, hot and cold water.

4.Prepare URS and protocol write-up for installation and commissioning, qualification/ requalification. Ensure execution of whole cycle from qualification until establishment of maintenance procedures related to all critical and non-critical system and utilities.

5.To prepare deviation report, event log, process change control (PCC), document change control (DCC),qualification documents including Installation Qualification (IQ), Operation Qualification (OQ) & Performance Qualification (PQ).

6.Report all changes made in critical system and utilities in change control, obtain review and approval from department managers and QA

7.Ensure reduction of unplanned downtime for all critical and non-critical system and utilities at site.

8.Ensure contractor service providers stationed at site for HVAC, CDA, BMS and EMS systems are trained and competent to conduct the job according to company SOP.

9.Patrolling daily to ensure routine maintenance records and logbooks for performance check are in compliance.

10.Lead the execution of calibration services and cleanroom performance testing (CPT), including HEPA filter replacement, lead test and performance check for all GMP production rooms at site.

11.Lead the execution of all performance check and integrity test for CDA at site.

12.Provide training to plant facilities team for maintenance procedures related to all critical and non-critical system and utilities.

13.Provide support to obtain and maintain all permits and licenses related to facilities management and inspection by local authority including DOSH, DOE and BOMBA.

14.Contribute improvement ideas for continuous improvement project for utilities and effective energy conservation programs relating to water and electricity.

15.To provide support to SSPE manager to ensure overall safety (for example fire-fighting and Hazard at work place) and security of plant facilities are attained.

16.Stay abreast to regulatory changes at the local level and maintain good relationship with local municipal and agencies i.e. TNB, SAMB and all permit providers.

17.Act as the main auditee accountable for Preventive Maintenance and Calibration activities of critical systems and utilities during GMP Inspection and ISO Quality Management System (QMS) Audits.

18.To report upwards for any abnormal conditions / deviation / non-conformances in timely manner.

19.Any other reasonable duties or project work which may be required by management from time to time.

Other Duties:

1.To provide support in project planning, budgeting, execution, control and reporting for any projects related to critical system and utilities.

2.To report non-compliance and hidden technical problem related to plant facilities to senior management.

3.Supervise the Plant Facilities Team on day-to-day routine operation of critical systems and utilities at site.
