Job Summary:

The Retail Management Trainee will be responsible for assisting customers in-store, ensuring an excellent shopping experience, and promoting products through social media live sessions. This role blends traditional retail responsibilities with modern social media engagement, aiming to drive sales and enhance the store's online presence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • In-Store Sales:
    • Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
    • Provide product information, including features, benefits, and pricing.
    • Upsell and cross-sell products to meet customer needs and increase store sales.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store environment.
    • Process transactions, handle cash, and operate the point-of-sale (POS) system.
    • Assist with inventory management, including restocking shelves and performing stock checks.
  • Social Media Engagement:
    • Conduct live streaming sessions on social media platforms (e.g., Tiktok, Instagram, Facebook) to showcase products, promote sales, and interact with the online audience.
    • Engage with followers during live sessions, answering questions and providing product recommendations.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and schedule social media content and live sessions.
    • Monitor and report on the performance of social media activities, including engagement metrics and sales conversions.
  • Customer Service:
    • Address customer inquiries and resolve issues both in-store and through social media channels.
    • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers to encourage repeat business.
    • Provide feedback to management on customer preferences and product trends.
  • Administrative Support:
    • Assist with daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
    • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving sales and customer engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or equivalent; education or certification in retail or marketing is a plus.
  • Experience in retail sales, customer service, or social media marketing preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both in-person and on digital platforms.
  • Comfortable with using social media platforms and conducting live video sessions.
  • Basic understanding of retail operations, including POS systems and inventory management.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Passion for retail and staying updated on the latest trends and products.
