Senior Fund Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute daily investment activities in line with the investment mandate, including trading, allocation, confirmation, and transaction reporting.
• Actively participate in strategic discussions to ensure alignment with company, fund, and client investment objectives and business plans.
• Conduct in-depth analysis and provide investment recommendations for companies within the stock universe, which includes company visits, attending analyst briefings, and participating in investor conferences.
• Prepare detailed reports and proposals for presentation to the Board of Directors and the Investment Committee.
• Lead special assignments or ad-hoc projects as directed by the Board of BIMB Investment.
• Support internal and external marketing and client servicing efforts by preparing and delivering investment presentations.
• Build and nurture strong relationships with clients, investors, and stakeholders to understand their goals and tailor investment strategies accordingly.
• Ensure strict adherence to daily and monthly compliance, risk management, and investment mandates.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory guidelines (Securities Commission, Bursa Malaysia, Bank Negara Malaysia) and internal policies.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 15 years of experience managing equity portfolios, specifically in the Unit Trust and Asset Management industry.
• CMSRL Holder for Fund Management (Modules 9 & 10).
• A recognized degree in Investment Management, Actuarial Science, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Strong ability to maintain high standards under pressure, with a proven track record of delivering above-target results.
• Exceptional communication and persuasive skills, fostering an environment of trust and collaboration.
• Highly self-motivated, independent, and innovative team player with a results-oriented mindset.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent presentation, negotiation, writing, and communication skills.
