Medical Laboratory Scientist (Clinical Laboratory & Blood Bank)

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the continuity of daily operations at respective technical benches and achievement of test turnaround time and KPI targets.
• Able to provide supervision and guidance to junior Medical Laboratory Scientist on training requirements and operational duties.
• Able to assist immediate supervisors with the following.
  • Review of SOPs and technical processes
  • Participation in Quality Improvement projects & Internal Audits
  • Carry out Quality Assurance testing and required maintenance and upkeep of equipment and instruments.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Biomedical Science/ Medical Laboratory Technology or its equivalent.
• 2-5 years working experience in a Clinical Diagnostic Laboratory. Demonstrate good leadership & behavior.
• Possess good knowledge of the principles and methods used in laboratory tests in relevant fields of the clinical laboratory.
• Possess good phlebotomy skills would be an advantage.
• Competent in performing complex testing procedures (pre analytical, analytical, and post analytical stages of testing)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Enthusiastic and self-motivated.
