Team Lead Electrical Project Engineer

Reports to Group Project Engineering Manager

As the Lead Electrical Project Engineer within Vanderlande’s Airport and Parcel Solutions (APS) business unit, you will be responsible for overseeing the electrical design, implementation, and testing of complex material handling systems for airports and parcel distribution centers. You will lead a team of electrical engineers, ensuring that all electrical components are delivered to the highest technical standards, meet project timelines, and adhere to safety regulations. Your expertise will play a critical role in delivering the advanced electrical systems that power some of the most innovative logistics solutions in the world.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for BHS and parcel handling systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and technical requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical systems into larger control frameworks, ensuring seamless coordination across all project phases.
• Oversee the preparation of detailed electrical layouts, single-line diagrams, and cabinet designs, optimizing for performance and reliability.
• Conduct electrical system testing, including Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), ensuring that all components are validated and ready for deployment.
• Manage electrical project timelines, budgets, and resource allocations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of all electrical components.
• Lead a team of electrical engineers, providing mentorship and ensuring alignment with project goals.
• Drive continuous improvement in electrical system design and implementation, identifying areas for innovation and process optimization.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on BHS or parcel solutions.
• Expertise in electrical design, and industrial controls, with proficiency in CAD software (Eplan, AutoCAD, Navisworks)
• Proven leadership experience, with the ability to guide a team to deliver high-quality technical solutions.
• Willingness to travel internationally for project management and oversight.
