Key Responsibilities:

  • Room Cleaning: Clean and prepare guest rooms to meet hotel standards, including changing bed linens, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, dusting, and replenishing room amenities.
  • Public Area Cleaning: Ensure that all public areas, such as lobbies, corridors, and restrooms, are kept clean, tidy, and well-maintained.
  • Laundry Duties: Collect, sort, and deliver linens to/from laundry and linen closets. Assist with laundry operations, including washing, folding, and stocking linens.
  • Stocking Supplies: Maintain an adequate supply of cleaning products, toiletries, towels, and linens in storage areas and housekeeping carts.
  • Inspection: Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure they meet cleanliness and presentation standards.
  • Reporting: Report any maintenance issues, damage, or missing items in guest rooms and public areas to the Housekeeping Supervisor or Maintenance Department.
  • Guest Service: Respond promptly to guest requests for additional services or amenities, such as extra towels or toiletries.
  • Health and Safety: Adhere to hotel health and safety policies, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and reporting of any safety hazards.
  • Lost and Found: Ensure that lost and found items are properly handled and reported to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other hotel departments, such as front office and maintenance, to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience in a hotel or hospitality setting is preferred but not required.
  • Attention to detail and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good physical condition, as the job requires standing, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Skills:

  • Time management and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Communication skills to interact with guests and team members.
  • Knowledge of cleaning equipment and safety protocols.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: RM1,500.00 - RM1,800.00 per month
